Jens Peter de la Fuente. (Lyngdrup Madsen)

Dancer, choreographer and teacher, born in Dorf, Denmark. Jens Peter de la Fuente has worked with research into body, mind and spirit for more than 30 years.

From modern dance to yoga, Qi Gong and Stanislavski; the past 25 years with focus on expanding the physical training, techniques and philosophy behind the concept "Japanese" Butoh dance.

Assistant of legendary Butoh dancer and choreographer Anita Saij, (Dance Lab Theatre Copenhagen) Jens Peter de la Fuente went solo in 1989 and founded "Academy of Experimental Dance Theater Butoh", now the "European Center of Butoh".

Known for his radical approach to dance and the physical body, Jens Peter de la Fuente has been a vital force in the international performance world for decades.

He has performed and choreographed at Dancing City, Copenhagen; International Theatre Festival, Copenhagen; International Theatre Festival, Croatia; Nordic Festival, Copenhagen; and other festivals, as well as in theatres, on location in railway stations, on beaches, in harbors, under bridges, on plazas and parks in cities throughout Europe and North America.

As the Director of the Academy he has conducted more than 15 seven-month workshops, taught and inspired hundreds of artists from many fields and from many countries.

Jens Peter de la Fuente is teacher of Hatha Yoga and Qi Gong, with more than 30 years of yoga practice; he is trained and inspired by Chinese Martial Arts and Qi Gong Master Dr. Che Cheng Chiang.
